We are pleased to welcome a speaker from the Cunningham Children's Home for the first half of this meeting, beginning promptly at 7pm. I hope we are all inspired to organize a Ruth Circle road trip on Saturday, April 4th for their Festival of Quilts and either lunch or dinner together in Champaign-Urbana!
For the second half of the meeting we are making 20 Easter baskets for the children of the Home Sweet Home ministry. There was a lot of interest in this at our January meeting and I think it will be a lot of fun! We will be using the plastic Easter "buckets" that are the size of a 1 gallon ice cream bucket that cost $1.50. If we could ask you each to donate $3 to provide a couple of these, it would be much appreciated!
We will also need:
Easter grass (5 big bags)
individually wrapped candy (enough of each type for all 20 baskets)
small stuffed animals or toys (enough for each child to have one)
plastic Easter eggs (8 per basket)
party favor size play-dough (1 per child)
Crayons (1 package per child)
Bubbles (1 bottle per child)
