May update

Hi ladies! Just a quick update on Ruth Circle activities for May. Can you believe the school year is almost finished already? We had a great time at Garden of Beadin on April 21st, making some goodies for our loved ones and having a brief devotional on relationships with our mothers.

As we mentioned earlier, May is our circle's month to clean the church kitchen facilities. Now that may not sound like the most glamorous evening, but we are going to make it fun! We are scheduled for kitchen cleaning / girls' night out on Friday, May 16th. The plan is to meet at church to start cleaning around 5:45 pm, and we have a reservation at Medici's in Uptown Normal for dinner at 7:15. I do need to verify a head count for our reservation, so I will probably be sending out a separate e-vite for this event. Please RSVP if you can!

We have a few other events in the works. I will be working with Jody on finding a date for our Ruth Circle summer picnic. Claire had a great suggestion to rent the community room at White Oak Park. We'll try to have some dates ready shortly.

We have also had a couple requests for assistance with the attic sale. Ruth Circle has been asked to provide snacks (fruit, muffins, juice, cookies, doughnuts) for attic sale volunteers on the morning of Tuesday, July 22nd. We can coordinate this further at a later date, but keep it in mind. I also have another e-mail that I will forward on shortly regarding a child-care coordinator for attic sale sorting during July.

Also, Claire wanted me to pass along a message on behalf of the casserole ministry -- the freezer is bare! "The Casserole Ministry is in great need of casserole donations. We have several unexpected needs to meet. Please help by making a casserole or two, cover, label with the recipe and date and place in our freezer behind the stage. Thank you so much!"

Hope everyone is having a wonderful May and that we see you soon. I'll be in touch!
